Great news for people suffering from diabetes. The scientists from Google are currently developing new contact lenses designed to take automatic measures of blood sugar levels during the day. Special sensor designed to test drops of blood for glucose levels then transfers the information to smartphone or computer. The lenses could replace standard needles that diabetics usually use for taking blood samples and subsequently measure the level of sugar in their blood.
People suffering from diabetes need to monitor their sugar levels quite often, to prevent any complications, which could potentially be life threatening. Even if the research is still in its early days, many people definitely cannot wait for the lenses to appear on the market.
