Drive Safely       Stop the Strain     Dont be at Risk      Anti Reflective Coatings       Vision and driving tips

A multi layered anti reflective coating reclaims reflected light – reducing the annoying reflections and making it easier to see. Standard uncoated lenses only let in between 85 and 92 per cent of available light. A lens that has been treated with AR coating lets in up to 99 per cent of available light.

Think of it this way: wearing lenses without an AR coating is like trying to read a book in a dimly light room – even with excellent vision its difficult. Turn up the light and suddenly it becomes easier to read. Since these coatings allow more light to reach your eyes by reducing reflections, it’s like turning up the room lights, making it easier to see. This means better, clearer vision both day and night. There is another benefit as well, by eliminating the reflections on the front of your lenses, it makes it easier for other people to see your eyes.
