16. Your blood pressure will be carefully tested using a digital BP tester, which is fast, accurate and comfortable to use. Why is it important to do a blood pressure test? Simply because when there is a high blood pressure problem that is not detected, or is out of control, this affects the blood vessels at the back of the eyes in addition to the rest of the body. This can lead to a condition called Ocular Hypertension which can cause the blood vessels in the eyes to rupture and burst causing bleeding (haemorrhages) behind the eyes and disruption or loss of vision.
